Aírton de Sena's late challenge caught a Mamoes EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aírton de Sena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute, Aírton de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Nascimento in the 10th minute of play forced Mamoes EC's goalkeeper Ramón Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Válter Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Vieira in the 15th minute of play forced ABA SOCCER CLUB's goalkeeper Hernani Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Délio Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Guimarães having to interfere. Kiko Matorin's late challenge caught a Mamoes EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kiko Matorin helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, ABA SOCCER CLUB's Kiko Matorin got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Mamoes EC's Elder Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hernani Guimarães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válter Moura in the 36th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as ABA SOCCER CLUB's Jonas Nascimento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ramón Reis. That made the score 1-0 after 38 minutes of play. Mamoes EC's Válter Moura got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexsandro Rossi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Ramón Reis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Délio Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Válter Moura made a kick off. Elder Fontes hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Ramón Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Rossi in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Nascimento in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramón Reis saved Mamoes EC from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Mamoes EC's Délio Vieira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hernani Guimarães. That made the score 1-1 after 62 minutes of play. Ramón Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Rossi in the 65th minute of play. Délio Vieira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Válter Moura struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Hernani Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mamoes EC. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Elder Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mamoes EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elder Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernani Guimarães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 81 minutes into the match, ABA SOCCER CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Moura came free, but Hernani Guimarães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Délio Vieira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Hernani Guimarães when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Elder Fontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hernani Guimarães. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elder Fontes ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to ABA SOCCER CLUB getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Alexsandro Rossi hit a great ball. Mamoes EC's Ramón Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Nascimento in the 94th minute of play. Mamoes EC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing ABA SOCCER CLUB to leave the ground with a draw.
