With a little luck, Sarare's Giovani Arruda got control of the ball when Flávio Bueno tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 7th match minute, Sarare was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido Diniz to maneuver through the defense. Flávio Bueno's late challenge caught a Sarare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flávio Bueno helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, Flávio Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Adolfo Maciel in the 15th minute of play forced Sarare's goalkeeper Giovani Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Sarare's goal looked a bit too open when João Adolfo Maciel came free, but Giovani Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Gustavo Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Luís Gustavo Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natanael Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Júlio Torres came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Sarare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Torres couldn't finish the play. Júlio Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Luís Gustavo Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júlio Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luiz Eduardo Abraão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Gustavo Prata having to make a save. In the 46th minute, Júlio Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Adolfo Maciel to strike the kick off in the second half. Giovani Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Adolfo Maciel in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Olarias defense, Júlio Torres kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Gustavo Prata. The Olarias fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Gustavo Prata should have stopped the shot. Natanael Messias might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Gustavo Prata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Natanael Messias ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Sarare booed when Olarias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Souto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sarare's Dorian Bertassi got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Torres struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Luís Gustavo Prata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sarare. Flávio Bueno hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. When Júlio Torres came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Sarare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Torres couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Torres got free with Luís Gustavo Prata in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute, Dorian Bertassi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Gustavo Prata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Natanael Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Gustavo Prata having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Olarias's zone, Júlio Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Gustavo Prata came out of the goal and Júlio Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dorian Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Luís Gustavo Prata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sarare played a much better game than Olarias and deserved their victory. The Olarias players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
