Futebol Club Desportivo's Dedê Ribeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Gomes in the 24th minute of play. Ramiro Ferreira ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Arlindo de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Futebol Club Desportivo's supporters rose to their feet, but Arlindo de Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute, Víktor Torres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dedê Ribeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Riberalta's zone, Arlindo de Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Sergipano came out of the goal and Arlindo de Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Manoel Valadares fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Riberalta's protests and gave Manoel Valadares a yellow card for diving instead. Manoel Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Arlindo de Lima in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nestor Sergipano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Riberalta's Manoel Valadares got his second yellow card of the match in the 72nd minute. The referee ordered Manoel Valadares off the ground.
