Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arlindo de Lima kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute Délio Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedê Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dedê Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válter Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dedê Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válter Moura in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Futebol Club Desportivo's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Moura came free, but Dedê Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Futebol Club Desportivo's goal looked a bit too open when Otávio Arósio came free, but Dedê Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arlindo de Lima in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramón Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 19 played minutes Mamoes EC got a freekick which was hit by Elder Fontes. Ramón Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo de Lima, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Ramón Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlindo de Lima in the 22nd minute of the match. Arlindo de Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mamoes EC's zone, Douglas Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramón Reis came out of the goal and Douglas Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arlindo de Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ramón Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mamoes EC's Elder Fontes got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Arlindo de Limas short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Ramón Reis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Guga Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Futebol Club Desportivo's Arlindo de Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Mamoes EC's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo de Lima came free, but Ramón Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guga Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arlindo de Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramón Reis having to interfere. The Futebol Club Desportivo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mamoes EC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Válter Moura was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Guga Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Arlindo de Lima's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramón Reis was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Zé Augusto Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guga Soares ran back to his position shaking his head. When Elder Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mamoes EC's protests and gave Elder Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st match minute, Mamoes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elder Fontes to maneuver through the defense. Arlindo de Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramón Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arlindo de Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. If Arlindo de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Futebol Club Desportivo fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Futebol Club Desportivo's Arlindo de Lima looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dedê Ribeiro was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Délio Vieira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Délio Vieira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 88th minute, Arlindo de Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Futebol Club Desportivo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Guga Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Délio Vieira came free with the goalkeeper in the 97th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dedê Ribeiro could save by the left post. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Futebol Club Desportivo players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
