Spectators: 7223 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luís Fernando Oliveira kicked off to start the match. Telmo Bastos might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moisés Motta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Telmo Bastos ran back to his position shaking his head. Mateus Jacinto's late challenge caught a Clube Oriente Petroleiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mateus Jacinto helped the player get up and apologised. Mateus Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Nova Hera Fenix got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Sanches. Moisés Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateus Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Moisés Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Lucas Sanches had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Moisés Motta. Clube Oriente Petroleiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Sanches was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Clube Oriente Petroleiro's Umberto Velloso shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 28th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Danilo das Neves but with some difficulty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adriano Valadares got free with Danilo das Neves in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Danilo das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fernando Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 48th minute, Carlos Augusto Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 49th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nova Hera Fenix's goalkeeper Danilo das Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Telmo Bastos to strike the kick off in the second half. Moisés Motta made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Mateus Jacinto sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fernando Oliveira in the 57th minute of play forced Nova Hera Fenix's goalkeeper Danilo das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Clube Oriente Petroleiro's goalkeeper Moisés Motta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateus Jacinto. Mateus Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Moisés Motta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moisés Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Bastos in the 73rd minute of play. Moisés Motta was a little too slow when Mateus Jacinto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-3. Danilo das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Valadares in the 84th minute of the match. If Luís Fernando Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Sebastião Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nova Hera Fenix's protests and gave Sebastião Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Hera Fenix's zone, Luís Fernando Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo das Neves came out of the goal and Luís Fernando Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nova Hera Fenix eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
