Spectators: 7272 (Terracing: 5456, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 144) Sovietes Futebol Clube's Laerte Dracena started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Oswaldo Cardozo came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Sovietes Futebol Clube's Norberto Bezerra. But to his dismay, Norberto Bezerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Pereira got free with Oswaldo Cardozo in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Pezzato FC's goalkeeper Oswaldo Cardozo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Bezerra. Wesley de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Lino do Vale notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Sovietes Futebol Clube's Zhang Fan Yong. Zhang Fan Yong was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rogério de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Pezzato FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Pereira came free, but Oswaldo Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Bezerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Oswaldo Cardozo made a huge save. Lino do Vale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zhang Fan Yong having to make a save. 39 minutes into the match, Pezzato FC's goalkeeper Oswaldo Cardozo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Bezerra. In the 40th minute Laerte Dracena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Zeca Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pezzato FC's protests and gave Zeca Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes, Sovietes Futebol Clube's Jefferson Porto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oswaldo Cardozo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sovietes Futebol Clube reached it. In the 45th minute of the match, Norberto Bezerra got a very nice opportunity to score, but Oswaldo Cardozo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Oswaldo Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Lino do Vale made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Sovietes Futebol Clube's Edgar Pereira made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oswaldo Cardozo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lino do Vale who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Zhang Fan Yong when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 61 minutes, Liam Gallagher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sovietes Futebol Clube and the Pezzato FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st match minute, Sovietes Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liam Gallagher to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Norberto Bezerra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sovietes Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Wesley de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Zhang Fan Yong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sovietes Futebol Clube's zone, Lino do Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zhang Fan Yong came out of the goal and Lino do Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Nicolas Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pezzato FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zhang Fan Yong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wesley de Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zeca Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Evandro Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Laerte Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Cardozo having to interfere. Rômulo Cavalcante lost his temper 89 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pezzato FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Sovietes Futebol Clube a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jefferson Porto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pezzato FC's Oswaldo Cardozo. 4-1. The supporters of Sovietes Futebol Clube booed when Pezzato FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Sovietes Futebol Clube support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
