The audience was convinced that Ismael Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zhang Fan Yong was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. The supporters of Sovietes Futebol Clube booed when Fairy Tail was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Délio Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th match minute, Fairy Tail was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 13 minutes, Laerte Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sovietes Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laerte Dracena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Sovietes Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Edgar Pereira hit a great ball. Norberto Bezerra scored 1-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabrício Valadares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fabrício Valadares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laerte Dracena in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sovietes Futebol Clube's zone, Ismael Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zhang Fan Yong came out of the goal and Ismael Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Norberto Bezerra came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Sovietes Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Bezerra couldn't finish the play. Michel Loureiro charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michel Loureiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Michel Loureiro hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. A collision led to Sovietes Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Otávio Montagna hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Fairy Tail's goalkeeper Fabrício Valadares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Bezerra. When Laerte Dracena came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Sovietes Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laerte Dracena couldn't finish the play. Fabrício Valadares was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Laerte Dracena capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Laerte Dracena really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Laerte Dracena made the kick off in the second half. Alfredão Hoffmann charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredão Hoffmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd minute Norberto Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrício Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes Fairy Tail got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Hoffmann. In the 73rdth minute of the game Norberto Bezerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fairy Tail's Fabrício Valadares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Laerte Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Valadares having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Alfredão Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michel Loureiro hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Michel Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. A hard shot by Délio Baptista from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got Zhang Fan Yong's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 87 minutes into the match, Sovietes Futebol Clube's Laerte Dracena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabrício Valadares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 89 played minutes Fairy Tail got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Hoffmann. In the 91st minute Sovietes Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Jefferson Porto went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Jefferson Porto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fabrício Valadares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Fabrício Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severino Rosado might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zhang Fan Yong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Rosado ran back to his position shaking his head. Sovietes Futebol Clube were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fairy Tail for a fine match.
