Diego Paiva might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danilo das Neves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego Paiva ran back to his position shaking his head. Nova Hera Fenix's Danilo das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Paiva in the 41st minute of play. Norberto Duarte took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danilo das Neves. Danilo das Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Norberto Duarte to make the kick off. Luiz Paulo Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Danilo das Neves made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Diego Paiva sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute of the match Brocas Marinhas FC got a corner. Nova Hera Fenix's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Régis Couto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Régis Couto made a great header on Brocas Marinhas FC's corner, it was just that Nova Hera Fenix's Danilo das Neves managed to reach the ball for a save. Danilo das Neves didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 60th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. A collision led to Brocas Marinhas FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danilo das Neves was a little too slow when Norberto Duarte got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Paiva got free with Danilo das Neves in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Paulo Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedito Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Brocas Marinhas FC's Diego Paiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danilo das Neves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Brocas Marinhas FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
