Nova Hera Fenix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Telmo Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mateus Jacinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jefferson Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After 14 minutes, Walmyr Marquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nova Hera Fenix and the ZÜÖ ÖÜZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nova Hera Fenix's Danilo das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio Galvão in the 18th minute of play. Jefferson Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Nova Hera Fenix booed when ZÜÖ ÖÜZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Eduardo Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. André Luís Santana might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jefferson Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Luís Santana ran back to his position shaking his head. Telmo Bastos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jefferson Fonseca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Benedito Pires recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jefferson Fonseca. Benedito Pires showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Jefferson Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telmo Bastos in the 36th minute of play. Fernando de Queiroz hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Jefferson Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mateus Jacinto in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the game, ZÜÖ ÖÜZ's Otávio Galvão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danilo das Neves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Benedito Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Nova Hera Fenix's Danilo das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otávio Galvão in the 52nd minute of play. After 55 minutes of play, Nova Hera Fenix's Mateus Jacinto made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jefferson Fonseca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mateus Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Nova Hera Fenix's Danilo das Neves got control of the ball when Jânio Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute of the match ZÜÖ ÖÜZ got a corner. Nova Hera Fenix's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nico Zonta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fred Donatello hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Gildo Saldanha fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 74th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Telmo Bastos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caio Simão hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Nova Hera Fenix's Mateus Jacinto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jefferson Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Jacinto in the 84th minute of play forced ZÜÖ ÖÜZ's goalkeeper Jefferson Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Nova Hera Fenix's Danilo das Neves got control of the ball when Jânio Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nova Hera Fenix fans cheered their team off the field, for while ZÜÖ ÖÜZ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
