Vágner Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóvão Arce in the 6th minute of the match. Baltazar Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Vágner Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Laranjeiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dieguinho Trevisan came free, but Allan Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agostinho Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Vágner Furlan made a huge save. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laranjeiras FC's goalkeeper Allan Marinho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vágner Furlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Agostinho Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vágner Furlan having to interfere. When Agostinho Pontes fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aracassu's protests and gave Agostinho Pontes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Aracassu getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Agostinho Pontes hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristóvão Arce in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. Frédson Queirós hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the game, Agostinho Barreto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Vágner Furlan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sebastião Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the game, Délio Prata cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Allan Marinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dieguinho Trevisan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Allan Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Laranjeiras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Laranjeiras FC booed when Aracassu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dieguinho Trevisan to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Dieguinho Trevisan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aracassu's supporters rose to their feet, but Dieguinho Trevisan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Valdir Motta might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Allan Marinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdir Motta ran back to his position shaking his head. Allan Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastião Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After 56 played minutes Aracassu got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Queirós. Délio Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, Valdir Motta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Allan Marinho. Allan Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Agostinho Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Laranjeiras FC's Allan Marinho got control of the ball when Délio Prata tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Délio Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aracassu's supporters rose to their feet, but Délio Prata was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aracassu played a much better game than Laranjeiras FC and deserved their victory. The Laranjeiras FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
