Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) MDP Team's Dinei Mendonça started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adelino Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdir Pimenta in the 4th minute. Gilberto Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Adelino Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. MDP Team's Dudu Carioca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Proença in the 14th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Jano Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caracanga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jano Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dudu Carioca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Caracanga FC's zone, Dinei Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adelino Carvalho came out of the goal and Dinei Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Didi Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Carioca having to interfere. Gilberto Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Adelino Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MDP Team. After a defensive mix-up in Caracanga FC's zone, Dinei Mendonça stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adelino Carvalho came out of the goal and Dinei Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dinei Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Nilson Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Gilberto Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Didi Paraíba to make the kick off. Gilberto Oliveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adelino Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilberto Oliveira ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilberto Oliveira struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Adelino Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MDP Team. After having played for 61 minutes, Dinei Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MDP Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinei Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Adelino Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gilberto Oliveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adelino Carvalho was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 68thth minute of the game Gilberto Oliveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caracanga FC's Adelino Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 69 played minutes Caracanga FC got a freekick which was hit by Tomé Seco. Adelino Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Oliveira in the 70th minute of play. Dinei Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Carvalho having to interfere. When Caracanga FC's Didi Paraíba in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MDP Team's goalie prevented a goal. In the 78th minute, Léo Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Tomás Alcântara in the 79th minute really tested Dudu Carioca's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Franklin Proença who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Dudu Carioca when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 86th minute Dinei Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Caracanga FC defense, Gilberto Oliveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adelino Carvalho. The Caracanga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adelino Carvalho should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the MDP Team players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
