If José Paulo Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Augusto Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Prata in the 10th minute of play. Luiz Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Paulo Leão got free with Mauro Cordeiro in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Cordeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Cordeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Luiz Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Paulo Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes Realeza SS got a freekick which was hit by Carlinhos da Costa. A collision led to Realeza SS getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Carlinhos da Costa hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute, Durval Carvalho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Realeza SS's Mauro Cordeiro didn't even have to move. João Augusto Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zézinho Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Adhemar de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Mauro Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mauro Cordeiro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 42nd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. José Paulo Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Cordeiro having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Adhemar de Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Zézinho Vasconcelos made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Quintino's João Augusto Velloso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 58 minutes, Luiz Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Realeza SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Augusto Velloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zézinho Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. In the 61st match minute, Quintino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulisses Teles to maneuver through the defense. Zézinho Vasconcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Renato Vergílio hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. When Quintino's José Paulo Leão, in the 75th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Quintino. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo Leão in the 78th minute of play forced Realeza SS's goalkeeper Mauro Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Quintino's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Vasconcelos came free, but João Augusto Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zézinho Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto Velloso having to interfere. If José Paulo Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 94 minutes into the match, Quintino's goalkeeper João Augusto Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Prata. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
