Yan Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arthur Falcão in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Antônio Carlos de Alcântara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yan Garcia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Yuri Pontes hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. When José Vítor Maranhense fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marmita Azeda FC's protests and gave José Vítor Maranhense a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, José Vítor Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tavares FC's Durval Santos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Marmita Azeda FC. Víktor Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Marmita Azeda FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Nestor Netto hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos de Alcântara notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Marmita Azeda FC's Yan Garcia. Yan Garcia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Túlio Miranda was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Túlio Miranda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Víktor Lira was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 60th minute, Fernandão Siqueira made a precise shot to the right of Víktor Lira. Tavares FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. If Túlio Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Túlio Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernandão Siqueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Víktor Lira made a huge save. Víktor Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Túlio Miranda got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fernandão Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Lira having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Miranda in the 83rd minute of play forced Tavares FC's goalkeeper Víktor Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Túlio Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 92 minutes, Fernandão Siqueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marmita Azeda FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandão Siqueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernandão Siqueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Lira having to interfere. The Tavares FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Marmita Azeda FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
