Ars Ratio Tempus's Diogo Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademir Ferreira in the 25th minute of play. Ars Ratio Tempus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cosenza Calcio the free kick. Ademir Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Pedro Luiz Palmeira came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Ars Ratio Tempus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luiz Palmeira couldn't finish the play. Luisinho Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Breckenfeld, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Luisinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Breckenfeld in the 44th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emílio Breckenfeld was the one to do the kick off. When Pedro Luiz Palmeira came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Ars Ratio Tempus fans jumped to their feet. Pedro Luiz Palmeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisinho Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Diogo Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir Ferreira in the 59th minute of the match. Rodriguinho Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Diogo Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 71st play minutes Ademir Ferreira shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Diogo Marquez and just under the crossbar into goal. Luiz Mattos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luisinho Correia. Cosenza Calcio's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cosenza Calcio's Toninho Pernambucano got a free kick in the 76th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Natã Galvão during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 80 played minutes Cosenza Calcio got a freekick which was hit by Natã Galvão. Ademir Ferreira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diogo Marquez having to make a save. 83 minutes into the match, Ars Ratio Tempus's goal looked a bit too open when Ademir Ferreira came free, but Diogo Marquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ademir Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Ars Ratio Tempus's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rodriguinho Salles fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ademir Ferreira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diogo Marquez came out and tried to block the shot, but Ademir Ferreira slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 92nd minute. When the match was over Cosenza Calcio could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ars Ratio Tempus throughout the match.
