After having played for 3 minutes, Sérgio Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celthicos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sérgio Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sérgio Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12th play minute Zézinho Ramalho came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Víktor Lira. 1-0. If Zézinho Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sérgio Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Víktor Lira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zézinho Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Víktor Lira having to interfere. Tavares FC's Antônio Carlos de Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, Tavares FC's Arthur Falcão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kauan Faria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sérgio Rocha in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Víktor Lira saved Tavares FC from getting behind. The supporters of Celthicos booed when Tavares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatinho Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sérgio Rocha was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmílson Cerezo in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Víktor Lira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute, José Maria Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 played minutes Tavares FC got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Falcão. Celthicos's Zézinho Ramalho got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Antônio Carlos de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tavares FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antônio Carlos de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kauan Faria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sérgio Rocha scored 2-1 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Víktor Lira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. It was a penalty for Celthicos! In the 83rdth minute of the game Sérgio Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tavares FC's Víktor Lira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zézinho Ramalho struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Víktor Lira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celthicos. Zézinho Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Celthicos fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Celthicos's Sérgio Rocha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Antônio Carlos de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 97 minutes, Cristóvão de Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Celthicos and the Tavares FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Celthicos booed when Tavares FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Celthicos's Sérgio Rocha in the 100th minute got a chance for a shot 100th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tavares FC's goalie prevented a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Celthicos had played much better football throughout.
