Zé Roberto Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorian Mattos made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Rodrigo Maciel sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 16 in the game by Rodrigo Maciel from a close distance when the talented Dorian Mattos managed to make a qualified save. Baixinho's players were relieved. Rodrigo Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Dorian Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Oswaldo Valladares fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After a rather tough play, Fortaleza EC's Rodrigo Maciel got a free kick in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Hoffmann in the 35th minute of play forced Fortaleza EC's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guilherme Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Roberto Dantas came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Baixinho's Cristian Hoffmann. But to his dismay, Cristian Hoffmann quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Guilherme Perez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Zé Roberto Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristian Hoffmann made a kick off. Rodrigo Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Dorian Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian Mattos having to interfere. If Jorginho Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rodrigo Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jardel de Amaral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dorian Mattos. Baixinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 70 minutes, Rodrigo Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortaleza EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute Jorginho Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dorian Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 minutes, Didi Cearense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baixinho and the Fortaleza EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 75 minutes into the game, Jorginho Miranda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dorian Mattos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 82 played minutes Fortaleza EC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Maciel. If Cristian Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 played minutes Fortaleza EC got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme Domingues. Zé Roberto Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Guilherme Perez charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guilherme Perez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Guilherme Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fortaleza EC's protests and gave Guilherme Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. Guilherme Domingues got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Fortaleza EC's Zé Roberto Dantas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Fortaleza EC from getting a goal against them. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
