The referee ignored Nacional Futebol Clube's protests and gave João Francisco Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Nacional Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. João Francisco Galvão hit a great ball. Luciano Nogueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Araújo having to make a save. After 35 played minutes Nacional Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Araújo. ZASS's Raphael Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Galvão in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 40 minutes, Igor Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZASS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Igor Guedes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Igor Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Araújo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kléberson Araújo during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th match minute, Nacional Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Araújo to maneuver through the defense. When Claudinei Prestes came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the ZASS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei Prestes couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Armando Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Geovanni Freire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Claudinei Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot. ZASS's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei Prestes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute Igor Guedes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Claudinei Prestes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Igor Araújo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 81 minutes into the game, João Francisco Galvão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Raphael Zonta. João Francisco Galvão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Igor Guedes took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Igor Araújo. Igor Araújo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3.
