Fortaleza EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ZASS the free kick. After some careless play in the ZASS defense, Oswaldo Valladares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raphael Zonta. The ZASS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raphael Zonta should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorginho Miranda in the 8th minute of play forced ZASS's goalkeeper Raphael Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raphael Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 minutes, Rodrigo Maciel made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. ZASS's Raphael Zonta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the ZASS defense, Rodrigo Maciel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raphael Zonta. The ZASS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raphael Zonta should have stopped the shot. Igor Guedes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Roberto Dantas having to make a save. 21 minutes into the game, Fortaleza EC's Guilherme Domingues nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raphael Zonta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Raphael Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorginho Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fortaleza EC's Rodrigo Maciel got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th match minute, Fortaleza EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Igor Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Dantas having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Jorginho Miranda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raphael Zonta. ZASS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jorginho Miranda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Raphael Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Miranda in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Jorginho Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Roberto Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Guedes in the 42nd minute of the match. If Oswaldo Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Guedes to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodrigo Maciel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Raphael Zonta made a huge save. In the 54th minute, Luciano Nogueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raphael Zonta was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Jorginho Miranda capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jorginho Miranda really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. After 62 minutes of play, ZASS's Claudinei Prestes made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Roberto Dantas was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 71st minute Jorginho Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jorginho Miranda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Raphael Zonta. That made the score 1-7 in the 72 minute of play. In the 77th minute Oswaldo Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 79 minutes of play, Fortaleza EC's Rodrigo Maciel made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raphael Zonta was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Jorginho Miranda took a quick shot and it went in 1-10 without a chance for Raphael Zonta to make any attempt to save it. Jorginho Miranda received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raphael Zonta came out and tried to block the shot, but Jorginho Miranda slotted it home off the left post making it 1-11 in the 93rd minute. Fortaleza EC played a much better game than ZASS and deserved their victory. The ZASS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
