Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Glauco dos Santos kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd match minute, Paraiso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Abreu hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Glauco dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 15 played minutes Paraiso got a freekick which was hit by José Carlos Tande. Franklin Arantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Glauco dos Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Franklin Arantes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 22 played minutes Potreiro got a freekick which was hit by Glauco dos Santos. Anselmo Abreu hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Glauco dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Franklin Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Potreiro's Glauco dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Falcão Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Arantes having to interfere. Franklin Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco dos Santos in the 41st minute of play. The Paraiso players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Potreiro were winning 0-1.

Glauco dos Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franklin Arantes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glauco dos Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. Paraiso's Franklin Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco dos Santos in the 58th minute of play. Glauco dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Arantes having to interfere. Glauco dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Franklin Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco dos Santos in the 63rd minute of play. Glauco dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franklin Arantes having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Glauco dos Santos got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 71 minutes into the game, João Paulo Gonçalves threw the ball into play from the sideline. Potreiro's Fiori Marques quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 82 minutes into the match, Falcão Fernandez notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Paraiso's Franklin Arantes. Franklin Arantes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zé Pedro Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Glauco dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Franklin Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paraiso's Franklin Arantes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Paraiso from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Cesinha Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Potreiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesinha Vianna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franklin Arantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Potreiro could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Paraiso throughout the match.
