Delfim Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elivélton Moura in the 14th minute of play. Delfim Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Camargo in the 21st minute of the match. If Cássio Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Carlos Mattos in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delfim Cunha saved DinGol Brazil MZC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Moisés Camargo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delfim Cunha was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. If Cássio Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovânio Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Afonso Trancoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Paulo Renato de Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Carlos Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cássio Leme to make the kick off. If Paulo Renato de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Maria Mendonça hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After having played for 61 minutes, João Carlos Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vila Palmeiras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Carlos Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moisés Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Cunha having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Vila Palmeiras FC's João Carlos Mattos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Delfim Cunha. Delfim Cunha yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. When Geovânio Rossi came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the DinGol Brazil MZC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovânio Rossi couldn't finish the play. After 69 played minutes Vila Palmeiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Renato de Amaral. 72 minutes into the match, Vila Palmeiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geovânio Rossi came free, but Afonso Trancoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Geovânio Rossi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Afonso Trancoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute, João Carlos Mattos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Delfim Cunha, passed just outside the right post. If Cássio Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vila Palmeiras FC's Afonso Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovânio Rossi in the 94th minute of play. Elivélton Moura's late challenge caught a DinGol Brazil MZC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elivélton Moura helped the player get up and apologised. Elivélton Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. DinGol Brazil MZC's Cássio Leme got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
