Spectators: 7045 (Terracing: 5395, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Osvaldinho Severo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Gabriel de Medeiros in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josué Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Pedro Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. GD Atlântico's Josué Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Severo in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, GD Atlântico's Durvalino Pirani got a free kick in the 7th minute. The audience was convinced that Osvaldinho Severo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josué Saldanha was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Tiago Gabriel de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tiago Gabriel de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Buckeyes Academy's Zé Pedro Proença got control of the ball when Juninho Messias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31st play minutes Tiago Gabriel de Medeiros shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Josué Saldanha and just under the crossbar into goal. Josué Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Gabriel de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 36 played minutes GD Atlântico got a freekick which was hit by Edu Guedes. 41 minutes into the match, Osvaldinho Severo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josué Saldanha. GD Atlântico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldinho Severo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 45 minutes into the game, one of Buckeyes Academy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Zé Pedro Proença had in the 48thth minute some difficulties stopping Delfim Sergipano's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Delfim Sergipano did an outstanding performance 48 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-2 to the right of an irritated Zé Pedro Proença in the goal. After the first half Buckeyes Academy were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

54 minutes into the match, Buckeyes Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Messias came free, but Zé Pedro Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Jano Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buckeyes Academy's Tiago Gabriel de Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Pedro Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Messias in the 71st minute of play. Josué Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Tiago Gabriel de Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldinho Severo's late challenge caught a GD Atlântico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldinho Severo helped the player get up and apologised. Jano Tavares in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Josué Saldanha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. GD Atlântico's Juninho Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
