After a rather tough play, GD Atlântico's Durvalino Pirani got a free kick in the 8th minute. After a defensive mix-up in GD Atlântico's zone, Pedro Paulo Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Saldanha came out of the goal and Pedro Paulo Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11thth minute of the game José Vítor Sabóia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GD Atlântico's Josué Saldanha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Josué Saldanha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Vítor Sabóia's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Pedro Paulo Guedes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josué Saldanha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. If Pedro Paulo Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the GD Atlântico defense, Pedro Paulo Guedes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josué Saldanha. The GD Atlântico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josué Saldanha should have stopped the shot. Pedro Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Juninho Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GD Atlântico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juninho Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Juninho Messias struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Beto Palmeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GD Atlântico. In the 38th minute, José Vítor Sabóia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Internacional Colorado fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Pedro Paulo Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Josué Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, José Vítor Sabóia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Internacional Colorado's Pedro Paulo Guedes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josué Saldanha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Internacional Colorado fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Internacional Colorado's José Vítor Sabóia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Pedro Nogueira took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Beto Palmeira to make any attempt to save it. When José Vítor Sabóia came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Internacional Colorado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Vítor Sabóia couldn't finish the play. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 72nd minute, but Beto Palmeira got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Internacional Colorado hanging dry this time. GD Atlântico's Josué Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Sabóia in the 88th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, GD Atlântico's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Paulo Guedes came free, but Josué Saldanha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Internacional Colorado were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of GD Atlântico for a fine match.
