The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Potreiro getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Enéas Berger hit a great ball. Dráusio do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Dalmo Leal came out of the goal and Glauco dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Falcão Fernandez hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Beto Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 played minutes Potreiro got a freekick which was hit by Falcão Fernandez. Dráusio do Vale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tales Carvalho in the 28th minute of the match. Dalmo Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glauco dos Santos in the 29th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Glauco dos Santos took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dalmo Leal to make any attempt to save it. Dalmo Leal was a little too slow when Glauco dos Santos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 39th match minute, Pocoyo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Batista to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute of the match Nilson Branco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dalmo Leal skillfully saved the ball. Dalmo Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Tales Carvalho hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Glauco dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glauco dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Falcão Fernandez during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Falcão Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Dráusio do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After having played for 92 minutes, Beto Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pocoyo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beto Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, Potreiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Tavares to maneuver through the defense. If Glauco dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pocoyo FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Potreiro.
