The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guilherme Pontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but João Francisco Baiano made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Renato de Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Francisco Baiano was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. 26 minutes into the match, BRASILIENSE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Porto came free, but Chiquinho Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Tiago Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of BRASILIENSE FC booed when BARCELONA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in BARCELONA F.C's zone, Samuel Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Francisco Baiano came out of the goal and Samuel Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, BARCELONA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Renato de Castro came free, but João Francisco Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, BRASILIENSE FC's Samuel Branco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Francisco Baiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. BARCELONA F.C's João Francisco Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renato de Castro in the 41st minute of play. Renato de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renato de Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. BRASILIENSE FC's Renato de Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renato de Castro struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. João Francisco Baiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BRASILIENSE FC. After 61 played minutes BRASILIENSE FC got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Valle. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renato de Castro in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Francisco Baiano saved BARCELONA F.C from getting behind. João Francisco Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Branco in the 68th minute of play. João Francisco Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renato de Castro in the 70th minute of the match. After some careless play in the BARCELONA F.C defense, Samuel Branco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Francisco Baiano. The BARCELONA F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Francisco Baiano should have stopped the shot. If Samuel Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chiquinho Tróia made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Jardel Machado sent off a good shot on target. Nelson Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. BRASILIENSE FC's Samuel Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Renato de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 played minutes BRASILIENSE FC got a freekick which was hit by Rony Leite. The long shot by Anderson Pimenta in the 88th minute really tested Chiquinho Tróia's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Samuel Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. BRASILIENSE FC had played much better football throughout.
