Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Juvenal Carvalho started the match with the kick off. Antônio Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Pinto EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabiano Velloso in the 8th minute. Pinto EC's Fabiano Velloso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Juvenal Palmeira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that Juvenal Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinei Gaúcho was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Claudinei Gaúcho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juvenal Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Tostão Loyola shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudinei Gaúcho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Laerte Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mairinque's Juvenal Palmeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juvenal Palmeira made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Patrick Recife sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute, Edmundo Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 22nd minute Roger Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Patrick Recife came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Pinto EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Recife couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Recife got free with Juvenal Palmeira in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juvenal Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Claudinei Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mairinque's Juvenal Palmeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Mairinque from getting a goal against them. After 43 minutes of play, Mairinque's Roger Gaúcho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinei Gaúcho was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Roger Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laerte Antunes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juvenal Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Recife in the 52nd minute of the match. Pinto EC's Laerte Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger Gaúcho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 57th playminute. 60 minutes into the match, Mairinque's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Recife came free, but Juvenal Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laerte Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Palmeira having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mairinque's zone, Laerte Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juvenal Palmeira came out of the goal and Laerte Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Pinto EC booed when Mairinque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Mairinque's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Recife came free, but Juvenal Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Patrick Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Antunes in the 79th minute of play forced Mairinque's goalkeeper Juvenal Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patrick Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Juvenal Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Recife in the 86th minute of play forced Mairinque's goalkeeper Juvenal Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Pinto EC's Wilson Guedes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juvenal Palmeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 95 minutes, Laerte Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pinto EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laerte Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Pinto EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mairinque's performance. The match ended with a win for Mairinque.
