Juvenal Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William de Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute Juvenal Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Cássio Rezende fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mairinque's protests and gave Cássio Rezende a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th minute, Cássio Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the game, Roger Gaúcho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Paulo Trevisan. Roger Gaúcho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Luís Fernando Quadros notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Mairinque's Juvenal Palmeira. Juvenal Palmeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. William de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Juvenal Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If William de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Croquete FC booed when Mairinque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauã Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. When William de Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Croquete FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William de Amorim couldn't finish the play. Juvenal Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Silva in the 47th minute of play forced Mairinque's goalkeeper Juvenal Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cássio Rezende kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Paulo Trevisan. That made the score 2-2 in the 48 minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juvenal Carvalho to strike the kick off in the second half. William de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Palmeira having to interfere. With a little luck, Mairinque's Juvenal Palmeira got control of the ball when William de Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Válbson Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute of the match, William de Amorim tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Juvenal Palmeira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If William de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juvenal Carvalho hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Luís Fernando Quadros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Válbson Silva's late challenge caught a Mairinque's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Válbson Silva helped the player get up and apologised. Válbson Silva hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute Juvenal Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antônio Gonçalves made in the 85th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Croquete FC's Válbson Silva. José Paulo Trevisan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Rezende in the 88th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Mairinque's goal looked a bit too open when Fábio do Nascimento came free, but Juvenal Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mairinque's Juvenal Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William de Amorim in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natã Porto in the 92nd minute of play forced Croquete FC's goalkeeper José Paulo Trevisan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. William de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Palmeira having to interfere. Roger Gaúcho hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. When the match was over Croquete FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mairinque throughout the match.
