Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Laerte Antunes took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd match minute, Talentosos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswaldo Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Recifes short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got João Pedro Godoi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Antunes in the 7th minute of play forced Talentosos's goalkeeper João Pedro Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 minutes of play, Pinto EC's Laerte Antunes made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Pedro Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10th minute, one of Pinto EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pinto EC. Magno Damião's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinei Gaúcho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Talentosos's Magno Damião sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudinei Gaúcho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Magno Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dagoberto dos Santos in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of João Pedro Godoi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. João Pedro Godoi made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Patrick Recife sent off a good shot on target. Franklin Fonseca took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Pedro Godoi. Pinto EC's Zé Augusto Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magno Damião to make the kick off. Gerson Falcão struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Claudinei Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talentosos. After 52 played minutes Pinto EC got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Fonseca. Patrick Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Pedro Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 59th minute, Gerson Falcão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Talentosos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. João Pedro Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Franklin Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. João Pedro Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Patrick Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Recife's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Pedro Godoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilson Guedes in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Pedro Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Pedro Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Recife in the 76th minute of the match. Wilson Guedes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. João Pedro Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pinto EC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Talentosos to win.
