Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Zé Pedro de Queirós started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Antônio Carlos Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, Saraiva's Danilo Paes got a free kick in the 8th minute. Eriberto Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Zé Paulo Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Samuel de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, VELOCIDADE MÁXIMA's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo Montenegro came free, but Samuel de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Paulo Montenegro in the 22nd minute of play forced VELOCIDADE MÁXIMA's goalkeeper Samuel de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antônio Carlos Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Sergipano, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Manuel Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Zé Pedro de Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antônio Carlos Cabral. Saraiva's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Pedro de Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Saraiva's Narciso Severo got a free kick in the 35th minute. 40 minutes into the match, VELOCIDADE MÁXIMA's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Furlan came free, but Samuel de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, VELOCIDADE MÁXIMA's goalkeeper Samuel de Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narciso Severo. A collision led to VELOCIDADE MÁXIMA getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Simão Paranaense hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Paulo Montenegro to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Simão Paranaense kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antônio Carlos Cabral. That made the score 1-3 in the 65 minute of play. Saraiva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Paes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel de Lima didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Furlan went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christian Mineiro got free with Antônio Carlos Cabral in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Paulo Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Narciso Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Samuel de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Saraiva failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
