The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Víktor Simão hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Edmílson da Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rockefeller F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Edmílson da Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Ramalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emerson Ramalho didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Rockefeller F. C.'s Luiz Luz shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After 11 played minutes Zé Ruelas FC got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Toscano. If Edmílson da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 minutes, Zé Augusto Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zé Ruelas FC and the Rockefeller F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Zé Ruelas FC's Zé Augusto Moreira got a free kick in the 20th minute. Emerson Ramalho came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Rockefeller F. C.'s Edmílson da Silveira. But to his dismay, Edmílson da Silveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Luiz Luz put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Emerson Ramalho. Jean Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Renan Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If João Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmílson da Silveira took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emerson Ramalho. Emerson Ramalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Emerson Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Luz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Dieguinho Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Peixoto, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Luiz Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Emerson Ramalho made a huge save. Luiz Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Ramalho having to interfere. Rockefeller F. C.'s Edmílson da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82ndth minute of the game Luiz Luz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zé Ruelas FC's Emerson Ramalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Zé Ruelas FC defense, Luiz Luz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emerson Ramalho. The Zé Ruelas FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emerson Ramalho should have stopped the shot. Luiz Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
