In the 4th minute, Virasoro fc's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Narciso Severo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Saraiva's Sandro Baiano got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sandro Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Angelo Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Paes in the 7th minute of play forced Virasoro fc's goalkeeper Angelo Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narciso Severo in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Angelo Araújo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Virasoro fc's Edgard Brodel got a free kick in the 15th minute. With a little luck, Virasoro fc's Angelo Araújo got control of the ball when Narciso Severo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matías de Medeiros in the 17th minute of play forced Saraiva's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saraiva's Antônio Carlos Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Batista in the 18th minute of play. Saraiva's Danilo Paes got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Zé Paulo Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saraiva's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Paulo Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Angelo Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Angelo Araújo was a little too slow when Narciso Severo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. The attack was good, but when Danilo Paes in the 27th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a rather tough play, Virasoro fc's Edgard Brodel got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The supporters of Saraiva booed when Virasoro fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Saraiva getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Lenílson Paranaense hit a great ball. Saraiva's Danilo Paes got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Paulo Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Araújo having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Saraiva's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Brodel came free, but Antônio Carlos Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Angelo Araújo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Narciso Severo's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. In the 53rd minute Dino Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Carlos Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Virasoro fc's zone, Danilo Paes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Araújo came out of the goal and Danilo Paes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the match, Narciso Severo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Araújo. Virasoro fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Narciso Severo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 61 minutes into the game, Narciso Severo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saraiva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Virasoro fc the free kick. After a rather tough play, Saraiva's Narciso Severo got a free kick in the 61st minute. A collision led to Saraiva getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Danilo Paes hit a great ball. Matías de Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Antônio Carlos Cabral made a huge save. In the 65th match minute, Virasoro fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Brodel to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the match, Danilo Paes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Araújo. Virasoro fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danilo Paes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 80th minute, Zé Paulo Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Saraiva booed when Virasoro fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aílton Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narciso Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88thth minute of the game Zé Paulo Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Virasoro fc's Angelo Araújo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Saraiva getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Jean Chaves hit a great ball. Dieguinho de Toledo missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 93 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Antônio Carlos Cabral right hand side. 96 minutes into the match, Virasoro fc's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Severo came free, but Angelo Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Saraiva players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
