In the 6th minute, Sandrinho França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Arnaldo Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Rafael FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro de Queirós came free, but Arnaldo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronaldo Sarmento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Zé Pedro de Queirós kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnaldo Santos. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Zé Pedro de Queirós struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Arnaldo Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VELOCIDADE MÁXIMA. Arnaldo Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Mineiro in the 22nd minute. Arnaldo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro de Queirós in the 23rd minute of play. If Ronaldo Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Samuel de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. When Sandrinho França fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rafael FC's protests and gave Sandrinho França a yellow card for diving instead. 31 minutes into the match, Rafael FC's Ronaldo Sarmento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel de Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, VELOCIDADE MÁXIMA's Simão Paranaense got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Zé Pedro de Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnaldo Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Pedro de Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. Zé Pedro de Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnaldo Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zé Pedro de Queirós made a kick off. José Augusto Trevisan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel de Lima having to interfere. Ronaldo Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Samuel de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnaldo Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Zé Pedro de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Santos having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Pedro de Queirós in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnaldo Santos saved Rafael FC from getting behind. In the 70th minute, Christian Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, José Augusto Trevisan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Samuel de Lima. The goal made the score 1-1. When Ronaldo Sarmento came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Rafael FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Sarmento couldn't finish the play. In the 77th match minute, VELOCIDADE MÁXIMA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Moraes to maneuver through the defense. José Augusto Trevisan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89thth minute of the game José Augusto Trevisan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VELOCIDADE MÁXIMA's Samuel de Lima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samuel de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Augusto Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 95 played minutes VELOCIDADE MÁXIMA got a freekick which was hit by Simão Paranaense. After a defensive mix-up in VELOCIDADE MÁXIMA's zone, Ronaldo Sarmento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel de Lima came out of the goal and Ronaldo Sarmento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
