In the 16th match minute, GUARDIÃO F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, GUARDIÃO F.C.'s Genílson Freire got a free kick in the 18th minute. Armandinho Alvarenga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Sílvio Luiz de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. LEMORES FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Luiz de Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisão Salles breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 43rdth minute of the game Cauã Borges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GUARDIÃO F.C.'s Luisão Salles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 45 minutes into the game, GUARDIÃO F.C.'s Hudson Cabral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Armandinho Alvarenga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roger Pernambucano to make the kick off. Luisão Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cauã Borges's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Sílvio Luiz de Lara's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisão Salles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Cauã Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Luisão Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Souto hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Luisão Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cauã Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The LEMORES FC fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when LEMORES FC's Cauã Borges looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 92nd minute, Zé Paulo Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 93 minutes, Cauã Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LEMORES FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cauã Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. GUARDIÃO F.C.'s Luisão Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauã Borges in the 96th minute of play.
