When Manfredo Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the SC Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manfredo Diniz couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute, Décio Alvarenga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elder Loureiro's late challenge caught a SC Corinthians's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elder Loureiro helped the player get up and apologised. Hugo da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janne Schaffer having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, SC Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilson Simões to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Benjamin Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inside Job's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, Manfredo Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Luís da Cunha was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Inside Job's Janne Schaffer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo da Silveira in the 40th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfredo Diniz in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Janne Schaffer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manfredo Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janne Schaffer having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benjamin Pires to make the kick off. Manfredo Diniz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Janne Schaffer came out and tried to block the shot, but Manfredo Diniz slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 53rd minute. Hugo da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janne Schaffer having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo da Silveira got free with Janne Schaffer in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benjamin Pires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rui Soeiro having to make a save. In the 75th minute, Frederico Sanches hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the game's 76th minute Inside Job's Pedro Luís da Cunha took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Rui Soeiro and thus the score was 1-1. 81 minutes into the game, Jeferson Neiva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inside Job's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Corinthians the free kick. After 81 played minutes Inside Job got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Neiva. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benjamin Pires in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Soeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute, Décio Alvarenga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Soeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Rui Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Décio Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Pires's late challenge caught a SC Corinthians's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Pires helped the player get up and apologised. Inside Job's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
