With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rui Soeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliézer Santana made a kick off. Manfredo Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Vladimir Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Corinthians's Rui Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olívio Alves in the 55th minute of play. Manfredo Diniz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vladimir Tinoco came out and tried to block the shot, but Manfredo Diniz slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 58th minute. Gilson Simões could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Vladimir Tinoco made a huge save. Otávio Marques struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Rui Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brama. Brama were furious when Leonel Simões was red carded, 68 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Brama:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Corinthians:s goal. When the match had been going on for 72 minutes, SC Corinthians's Frederico Sanches got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vladimir Tinoco. In the 78thth minute of the game Egídio Paes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Corinthians's Rui Soeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Brama's Eliézer Santana in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Corinthians's goalie prevented a goal. The attack was good, but when Eliézer Santana in the 82nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Eliézer Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 100th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
