In the 22nd minute Adrianinho Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd match minute, minas gerais fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Amorim to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Adrianinho Falcão sped through minas gerais fc's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Váldson Coelho. Célio Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Paes having to interfere. Urubuzada's Augusto Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Cearense in the 30th minute of play. Naldo Nogueira scored 1-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Váldson Coelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Augusto Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Cearense in the 37th minute of play. Urubuzada's Augusto Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Cearense in the 46th minute of play. Célio Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

After a rather tough play, Urubuzada's Elói Cearense got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Urubuzada's Augusto Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Cearense in the 60th minute of play. Adrianinho Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Váldson Coelho having to interfere. In the 66th minute Naldo Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in minas gerais fc's zone, Adrianinho Falcão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Váldson Coelho came out of the goal and Adrianinho Falcão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adrianinho Falcão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Váldson Coelho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Váldson Coelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Naldo Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Augusto Paes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernani Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ernani Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Urubuzada's Adrianinho Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute Naldo Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Váldson Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio Cearense in the 93rd minute of play forced Urubuzada's goalkeeper Augusto Paes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Urubuzada walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
