Spectators: 6416 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Célio Cearense made the kick off and thus started the match. Célio Cearense received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nelsinho Lima came out and tried to block the shot, but Célio Cearense slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 8th minute. A collision led to minas gerais fc getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Bruninho Amorim hit a great ball. In the 12thth minute of the game Baltazar Carneiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but minas gerais fc's Váldson Coelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernani Falcão got free with Nelsinho Lima in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Miguel Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Célio Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Lima having to interfere. Nelsinho Lima came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by minas gerais fc's Ernani Falcão. But to his dismay, Ernani Falcão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Ernani Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, minas gerais fc's Nelsinho Lima threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Célio Cearense, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernani Falcão in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelsinho Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ernani Falcão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Vargas made a kick off. After a rather tough play, A Morte's Osvaldo Meireles got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute Célio Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, Célio Cearense notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of A Morte's Nelsinho Lima. Nelsinho Lima was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nelsinho Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernani Falcão in the 59th minute of play. Baltazar Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Domingues, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Baltazar Carneiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Váldson Coelho made a huge save. minas gerais fc's Váldson Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Vargas in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, A Morte's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Falcão came free, but Nelsinho Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baltazar Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nelsinho Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernani Falcão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruninho Amorim in the 94th minute of play forced A Morte's goalkeeper Nelsinho Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
