Armandinho Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Fernandez in the 5th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 6 minutes into the game, when Virgílio Pimenta put in a rough tackle. 6 minutes into the game, one of Maruai:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hermínio Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Acoriana's goal looked a bit too open when Tamer Açıker came free, but Claudinei da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Zé Pedro Gomes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinei da Mata was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 18th minute, Hermínio Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maruai's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinei da Mata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinei da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tamer Açıker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Tamer Açıker notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Acoriana's Claudinei da Mata. Claudinei da Mata was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Giuseppe das Neves hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Acoriana's Claudinei da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tamer Açıker in the 36th minute of play. 2-1 became the score in the 37th minute when Tamer Açıker elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Maruai's Tamer Açıker in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Acoriana's goalie prevented a goal. Arthur Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Acoriana booed when Maruai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Váldson Tande didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Acoriana's zone, Váldson Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei da Mata came out of the goal and Váldson Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Tamer Açıker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudinei da Mata was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Tamer Açıker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei da Mata having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tamer Açıker in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinei da Mata saved Acoriana from getting behind. The supporters of Maruai booed when Acoriana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermínio Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tamer Açıker in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinei da Mata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Claudinei da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tamer Açıker in the 74th minute of the match. Claudinei da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tamer Açıker's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Claudinei da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Gomes in the 80th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tamer Açıker in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinei da Mata saved Acoriana from getting behind. In the 85th match minute, Acoriana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. Claudinei da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tamer Açıker, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Acoriana's zone, Váldson Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei da Mata came out of the goal and Váldson Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tamer Açıker in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinei da Mata saved Acoriana from getting behind. If Tamer Açıker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maruai walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
