But to his dismay, Tamer Açıker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Váldson Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Pedro Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute, Célio Cearense reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Armandinho Travassos. The goal made the score 1-4. The minas gerais fc players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maruai were winning 1-4.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Váldson Coelho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 60 minutes into the game, Vladimir Teles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. minas gerais fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maruai the free kick. A collision led to minas gerais fc getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Vladimir Teles hit a great ball. With a little luck, minas gerais fc's Váldson Coelho got control of the ball when Tamer Açıker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francisco Senin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Váldson Coelho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ernani Falcão struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Armandinho Travassos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for minas gerais fc. 73 minutes into the match, minas gerais fc's goal looked a bit too open when Tamer Açıker came free, but Váldson Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Váldson Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tamer Açıker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tamer Açıker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Váldson Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maruai played a much better game than minas gerais fc and deserved their victory. The minas gerais fc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
