Spectators: 6739 (Terracing: 5439, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 100) Acoriana's Hermínio Fernandez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Renatinho Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. If Naldo Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Naldo Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Renatinho Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The long shot by Romário Favoretto in the 14th minute really tested Claudinei da Mata's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Adrianinho Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei da Mata having to interfere. After 23 minutes, Renatinho Tepedino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Acoriana and the Urubuzada players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes Acoriana got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Tepedino. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Naldo Nogueira was the one to do the kick off. Augusto Paes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermínio Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei da Mata having to interfere. Rodriguinho de Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Augusto Paes made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Augusto Cardoso sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, Adrianinho Falcão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinei da Mata. Acoriana's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrianinho Falcão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Hermínio Fernandez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermínio Fernandez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 80th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Augusto Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermínio Fernandez in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, one of Urubuzada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Pedro Paulo Lucas hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Augusto Paes came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Acoriana's Augusto Cardoso. But to his dismay, Augusto Cardoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Acoriana had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
