Miguel Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Paes having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Nestor das Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A Morte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Urubuzada the free kick. Nelsinho Lima stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Naldo Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Augusto Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Vargas in the 18th minute of play. After 19 played minutes Urubuzada got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Paulo Lucas. If Miguel Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st match minute, Urubuzada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Paulo Lucas to maneuver through the defense. Baltazar Carneiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Augusto Paes made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Baltazar Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. A Morte's supporters rose to their feet, but Baltazar Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Paes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nelsinho Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naldo Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Naldo Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Urubuzada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naldo Nogueira couldn't finish the play. Adrianinho Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Lima having to interfere. Adrianinho Falcão scored 0-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nelsinho Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

Urubuzada's Augusto Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Carneiro in the 54th minute of play. Augusto Paes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Vargas in the 56th minute of the match. Nelsinho Lima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adrianinho Falcão in the 57th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrianinho Falcão got free with Nelsinho Lima in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute, Naldo Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nelsinho Lima made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Adrianinho Falcão sent off a good shot on target. Nelsinho Lima was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Adriano Breckenfeld. Amílton Diniz took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Paes. Augusto Paes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Nelsinho Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naldo Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute Baltazar Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute of the match A Morte got a corner. Urubuzada's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Domingues ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to A Morte getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Guga Toledo hit a great ball. Augusto Paes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Baltazar Carneiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Paes was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. If Baltazar Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Baltazar Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Baltazar Carneiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augusto Paes. Urubuzada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baltazar Carneiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Naldo Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Nelsinho Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A Morte were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Urubuzada for a fine match.
