Franklin Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Lima having to interfere. In the 5th minute Osvaldo Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelsinho Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. A Morte's Miguel Vargas was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 11th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Caetano Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Vargas in the 19th minute of play. Guga Toledo hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Saldanha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelsinho Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Caetano Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Vargas in the 28th minute of play. Miguel Vargas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 36th minute. A Morte's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Franklin Antunes scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nelsinho Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Synthroid Football Club's Caetano Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Vargas in the 45th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Miguel Vargas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Caetano Pitta. Miguel Vargas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Carneiro in the 53rd minute of play forced Synthroid Football Club's goalkeeper Caetano Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baltazar Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Caetano Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Alfredinho Zonta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Domingues, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danilo Figueiredo during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Danilo Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Baltazar Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Miguel Vargas came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the A Morte fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Vargas couldn't finish the play. Breno Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Synthroid Football Club's Caetano Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Vargas in the 77th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Franklin Antunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nelsinho Lima was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Synthroid Football Club's Caetano Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Vargas in the 83rd minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Synthroid Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Carneiro came free, but Caetano Pitta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When A Morte's Baltazar Carneiro in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Synthroid Football Club's goalie prevented a goal. Baltazar Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Caetano Pitta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A Morte. Miguel Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. A Morte had played much better football throughout.
