Aílton Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Queiroz having to interfere. Wellington Aguiar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 14th playminute. In the 31st minute Aílton Pitta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Lonbriga Com Dente F.C getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Décio Andrade hit a great ball. Nuno Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wellington Aguiar in the 58th minute of play. After 59 minutes of play, Grêmio's Aílton Pitta made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nuno Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wellington Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Wellington Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio's supporters rose to their feet, but Wellington Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute, Aílton Pitta made a precise shot to the right of Nuno Queiroz.
