Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Heavy Metal's Alfredo Aguiar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulinho de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Otávio Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otávio Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulinho de Salles in the 19th minute of the match. After 19 played minutes Heavy Metal got a freekick which was hit by Allan Barreto. In the 20th minute, Paulinho de Salles left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The flamengo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Luís Guilherme Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Heavy Metal booed when flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulinho de Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, Paulinho de Salles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Alfredo Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Heavy Metal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Aguiar couldn't finish the play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Guilherme Pires couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lauro Gaspar to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Aguiar in the 56th minute of play forced flamengo's goalkeeper Cesinha Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 played minutes Heavy Metal got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan da Costa. Cléber Meireles lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Heavy Metal a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dráusio Toledo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of flamengo's Cesinha Negri. 2-2. In the 74th minute, Alfredo Aguiar made a precise shot to the right of Cesinha Negri. flamengo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Cesinha Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Guilherme Pires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Alfredo Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in flamengo's zone, Alfredo Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesinha Negri came out of the goal and Alfredo Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Barreto came free, but Cesinha Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Luís Guilherme Pires came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the Heavy Metal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Guilherme Pires couldn't finish the play.
