Chico Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maicon Freitas in the 4th minute of the match. Inhapi's Ronaldão Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A.Z.Z FC's Chico Moraes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save A.Z.Z FC from getting a goal against them. Chico Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maicon Freitas in the 20th minute of play. Maicon Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Moraes having to interfere. A.Z.Z FC's Chico Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon Freitas in the 29th minute of play. Osmar Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugênio Pernambucano during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of A.Z.Z FC booed when Inhapi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Maicon Freitas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chico Moraes. A.Z.Z FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maicon Freitas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Inhapi's Ronaldão Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maicon Freitas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvinho Proença during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to A.Z.Z FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Silvinho Proença hit a great ball. If Maicon Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60thth minute of the game Ronaldão Vergílio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.Z.Z FC's Chico Moraes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 60 minutes, Ronaldão Vergílio made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. A.Z.Z FC's Chico Moraes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Chico Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maicon Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. During the 64th minute of the match Silvinho Proença completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Silvinho Proença a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 65th match minute, A.Z.Z FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvinho Proença to maneuver through the defense. Chico Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maicon Freitas's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. When Adriano do Valle fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.Z.Z FC's protests and gave Adriano do Valle a yellow card for diving instead. Adriano do Valle hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Maicon Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maicon Freitas struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Chico Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inhapi. In the 77thth minute of the game Maicon Freitas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.Z.Z FC's Chico Moraes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 80th minute, Eugênio Pernambucano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inhapi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 83 played minutes Inhapi got a freekick which was hit by Dário Hermes. If Maicon Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute of the match Dário Hermes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chico Moraes skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ronaldão Vergílio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inhapi's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldão Vergílio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chico Moraes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the A.Z.Z FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Inhapi.
