Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dalmo Sousa took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hamburgo's zone, Maurício Veloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dedê Ramos came out of the goal and Maurício Veloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmo Sousa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dedê Ramos came out and tried to block the shot, but Dalmo Sousa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Dedê Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmo Sousa in the 12th minute of the match. Paulinho Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Placa's Túlio Prestes got a free kick in the 20th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Dalmo Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Placa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmo Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dedê Ramos came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Placa's Maurício Veloso. But to his dismay, Maurício Veloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 27th minute of the match Reinaldo Valle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giovani Meira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Hamburgo's Francisco Azevedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giovani Meira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hamburgo's Dedê Ramos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Hamburgo from getting a goal against them. Dedê Ramos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmo Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurício Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê Ramos having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David da Fonseca to make the kick off. Giovani Meira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David da Fonseca in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Dalmo Sousa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giovani Meira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francisco Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. Kléberson Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Túlio Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Maurício Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê Ramos having to interfere. Maurício Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Dedê Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dalmo Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dedê Ramos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dalmo Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. Dedê Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Guto Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Dedê Ramos came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Placa's Maurício Veloso. But to his dismay, Maurício Veloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Maurício Veloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dedê Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Maurício Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Placa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maurício Veloso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Placa were the better team. Placa's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
