Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dalmo Sousa started the match with the kick off. Gualter Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmo Sousa in the 4th minute of the match. Sílvio Luís Simão's late challenge caught a Placa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Luís Simão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, Parisi EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luís Simão to maneuver through the defense. Gualter Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Giovani Meira made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Rogério Messias sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th match minute, Placa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléberson Donato to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, Rogério Messias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Giovani Meira, 1-0. Gualter Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Dalmo Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Parisi EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldir Maia to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Sousa in the 29th minute of play forced Parisi EC's goalkeeper Gualter Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Waldir Maia during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Parisi EC booed when Placa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Túlio Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gualter Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurício Veloso's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Parisi EC's Gualter Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Sousa in the 44th minute of play. Sílvio Luís Simão got his second yellow card in the match during the 45th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rogério Messias to make the kick off. Maurício Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualter Brito having to interfere. Parisi EC's Gualter Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Sousa in the 57th minute of play. Maurício Veloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61stth minute of the game Dalmo Sousa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Parisi EC's Gualter Brito was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmo Sousa in the 63rd minute of play forced Parisi EC's goalkeeper Gualter Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalmo Sousa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. Placa's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Maurício Velosos short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Gualter Brito to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Dalmo Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Placa's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gualter Brito breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dalmo Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gualter Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sérgio Madureira hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute of the match Amadeu Gonçalves sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gualter Brito skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Parisi EC's Gualter Brito got control of the ball when Maurício Veloso tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dalmo Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Placa fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Placa's Maurício Veloso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 88 minutes, Daniel Tinoco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Parisi EC and the Placa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Parisi EC's Daniel Tinoco got a free kick in the 89th minute. Gualter Brito made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maurício Veloso in the 90th minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Dalmo Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Placa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmo Sousa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. During the 95th minute of the match Daniel Tinoco completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Daniel Tinoco a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Parisi EC's Daniel Tinoco got a free kick in the 96th minute. If Dalmo Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
