Ouricana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Meireles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oséias Mineiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frédson Palmeira lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Ouricana FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pink Floyd Team:s goal. In the 18th play minute Hélder Brito came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cacá Guimarães. 2-0. Hélder Brito succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 22nd playminute. Rodriguinho França sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Eduardo Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cacá Guimarães having to interfere. Dida Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hélder Brito's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The supporters of Pink Floyd Team booed when Ouricana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodriguinho França didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luiz Eduardo Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Furlan to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Pink Floyd Team's zone, Teodoro Furlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oséias Mineiro came out of the goal and Teodoro Furlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jeferson Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Ouricana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeferson Paraíba couldn't finish the play. Cacá Guimarães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When Rubens Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ouricana FC's protests and gave Rubens Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. Cacá Guimarães came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Pink Floyd Team's Luiz Eduardo Gaspar. But to his dismay, Luiz Eduardo Gaspar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. After a defensive mix-up in Pink Floyd Team's zone, Teodoro Furlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oséias Mineiro came out of the goal and Teodoro Furlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeferson Paraíba struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Oséias Mineiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ouricana FC. Jeferson Paraíba's late challenge caught a Pink Floyd Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeferson Paraíba helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ouricana FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jeferson Paraíba hit a great ball. 97 minutes into the game, one of Ouricana FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Pink Floyd Team's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
