After a defensive mix-up in Mirary's zone, Roberto Donatello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elivélton Magalhães came out of the goal and Roberto Donatello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the match, Pococs's goal looked a bit too open when Gildo Valladares came free, but Gabriel Prata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juninho de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Albertinho Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pococs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albertinho Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Alcântara in the 22nd minute of play forced Mirary's goalkeeper Elivélton Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Prata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gildo Valladares in the 25th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Mirary's Gabriel Prata threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gildo Valladares, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the Pococs defense, André Luís Miranda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Prata. The Pococs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Prata should have stopped the shot. João Pedro Alcântara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elivélton Magalhães having to make a save. Paulo José Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elivélton Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute João Pedro Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elivélton Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mirary's Gildo Valladares got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Prata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Pococs's Gabriel Prata got control of the ball when André Luís Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo José Mello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elivélton Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Pedro Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the game, Mirary's André Luís Miranda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Prata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Mirary were furious when Alberto Trevisan was red carded, 61 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After recieving a nice pass, Pococs's Roberto Donatello tried to score from far away in the 62nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Elivélton Magalhães was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Paulo José Mello capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulo José Mello really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Sidnei Veiga made in the 74th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which João Pedro Alcântara however managed to control. Elivélton Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo José Mello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Juninho de Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pococs's goalkeeper Gabriel Prata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, João Pedro Alcântara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elivélton Magalhães. João Pedro Alcântara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
