The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Percival das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jorginho Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Pimentinha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Percival das Neves came free, but Jorginho Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 played minutes Pimentinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Vides. Dedê Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A nice corner shot did that Vânderson das Neves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Willian Santos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 21st minute Percival das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Damião saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dedê Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dedê Porto in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorginho Damião prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Rosado hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Percival das Neves made a precise shot to the right of Jorginho Damião. Pimentinha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 38th minute, Percival das Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dedê Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dedê Porto scored 0-3 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorginho Damião, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Rosado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Cupe SC's zone, Mané Siqueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willian Santos came out of the goal and Mané Siqueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Percival das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Damião having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Dedê Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cupe SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedê Porto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorginho Damião breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manfredo Vides hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Percival das Neves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jorginho Damião came out and tried to block the shot, but Percival das Neves slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 70th minute. Dedê Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jorginho Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renato Coutinho came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jorginho Damião could save by the left post. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dedê Porto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Jorginho Damião when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dedê Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Dedê Porto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pimentinha FC's zone, Dedê Porto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Damião came out of the goal and Dedê Porto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Pimentinha FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cupe SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Cupe SC.
