After 16 played minutes, Santana FC's Emanuel Goiano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Willian Santos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Santana FC reached it. Willian Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cupe SC's Willian Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clóvis Barral in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, André Rezende notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Cupe SC's Willian Santos. Willian Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when André Rezende made the kick off in the second half. The nice shot from Clóvis Barral in the 57thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Willian Santos had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 59 minutes into the match, Cupe SC's goalkeeper Willian Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clóvis Barral. After a defensive mix-up in Cupe SC's zone, André Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willian Santos came out of the goal and André Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clóvis Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Willian Santos made a huge save. André Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute, Dedê Porto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dedê Porto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamílton Neiva having to make a save. In the 77th minute, Santana FC's André Rezende dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Santana FC's Hamílton Neiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percival das Neves in the 84th minute of play. André Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian Santos having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Clóvis Barral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
